Chow calls it Golden

Check out the Chow, chow.com has six canned beer recommendations for this summer and one of them turns out to be our Golden State Ale. We're gearing up for the peak of the festival season.

This coming Sunday is the Brewing Network's Summer beer festival, happening from noon-4pm at Todos Santos Plaza in Concord.

Then it's the North American Organic Brewers Festival up in Portland from the 28th to 30th of June.

The 1st of July finds us in Napa for 3rd Annual BBQ and Beer Battle at the Marriott.

Then it's on to our first appearance at the Oakland A's Beerfest at the O Co Coliseum on the 7th.

We have two events on the 14th: a return to Ft. Mason for Marin Brewing Co's Breastfest from 3-7pm, and a treat for our fans up in Tahoe with the 5th Annual Northstar Brews and Bluegrass Festival.

That pretty much rounds out the next month. There are rumors that we'll find some time to sleep.

Tapping at TAPS and beer southward bound

Check us out tomorrow night, the 30th of March, for a tap takeover at TAPS in Petaluma. Our head brewer will be there pouring Twin, Golden, Porter, and our Uncommon IPA collaboration with Evil Twin. In other news, our craft beer crowd in the southern end of the state may rejoice, because the first two pallets left the brewery en route to Beauchamp Distributing Co. yesterday. Look for cans of Twin, Golden, and Porter to start popping up on shelves in the Los Angeles area in the next few weeks.

We didn't make it into the 3rd round of the Beer Madness bracket being hosted by the Washington Post, but can't complain about losing to last year's champion. We'll be hoping to be back in the competition next year.

Cheers.

First Round Win

Well this is a surprise. We have moved on through the first round of the Washington Post's Beer Madness March beer bracket, with an unexpected win over the Three Philosophers. Apparently the judging was close, but the panel credited a win to our Siamese Twin Ale. cheers,
